EXERCISE OF THE DAY: OVERHEAD REACH WITH SHRUG Neck bothering you? Do you feel like you have knots all over your shoulders and the muscles above? @justinsorbo says to try the overhead shrug. If a muscle never gets to perform it's intended action, it might get aggravated. The upper traps want to upwardly rotate and elevate the shoulder blades: this is a great way to give 'em what they want! Keeping the Ribcage down, hold onto a stick and exhale as you raise your straight arms slowly over your head. Making sure to keep your core tight, reach toward the ceiling and elevate those arms!
