I recently was told that Evolve’s individual training rates are lower than usual for gyms in the area (I’ve never looked at others, so I’m taking that on faith). When I joined in ’10, I knew I needed help addressing my physical health and it was bad. I weighed almost 300lbs and had a resting heart rate of nearly 100bpm. Because I lived then on very limited income, I could barely afford the individual training I signed up for. And my personality is such that I can’t reliably motivate myself to get to the gym without some similar commitment.
I am certain I would not have made much of a dent in improving my health if your rates had been much higher. Last summer, when I fulfilled a dream and cycled over 1000 miles in 17 days to see the eclipse near St Louis, my trainer Jenna was the first person I told that I made it.
I don’t know what compromises or sacrifices you, your trainers, and others have made to keep your rates affordable, but I can’t thank you all enough for them.
I reluctantly started working out at Evolve after my GI specialist recommended me to do strengthening exercises and lift weights to treat a medical condition. I was positively surprised, after a few weeks working out with their trainer Jenna, that I actually could ENJOY coming to the gym and find it fun to lift weights (which I previously pretty much hated!). Jenna has been a knowledgeable, professional, inspiring and fun guide through my journey to optimal health. With her support, I’ve been able to reconnect to the strength, health and beauty of my body. She has been an awesome trainer and cheerleader who challenges me to believe in my self and push harder in my weakest moments. I’d have never imagined myself doing deadlifts for the first time in my life (in my 40’s) and lifting 140lbs in a matter of a few months! Thanks so much Jenna for believing in me and keep pushing me towards greatness and thanks to Evolve for providing a great environment to work in through my journey to optimal health! In gratitud,
I have been receiving personal training at Evolve Fitness for over a year and a half. My goal was to increase my strength due to mobility issues. I walked with a cane and was 30 pounds heavier than I am now. With my trainer Ash’s help I increased my upper and lower body strength. I avoided knee surgery and exchanged my cane for heels! Also, as my nutrition improved, I lost 8 inches off my waist along with my hips and mobility becoming better. My confidence in my ability to work out was supported by the patience and encouragement of my trainer and the rest of the Evolve staff! Thank you Ash and Thank you Evolve for providing a great atmosphere!
Before Joining the gym and working with Boris I always felt tired and had shoulder and knee pain.
Now, thank to Boris and his progressive and challenging workouts I have virtually no problems and feel great- I’m in the best shape in my life!
Karina’s training transformed me from athletic to being truly fit as I turned 40. As I turn 50, Karina is the key to my having muscle definition that causes people to ask “How do you get that?” My answer is Karina. With Karina’s continued guidance on fitness and nutrition I can extend her work beyond our time together. It is through Karina’s commitment to my fitness that I regularly improve.
My name is Brandon Hamilton. In high school I was always working out, playing football, exercising, etc. As I got into college, I noticed that I had put on a significant amount of weight, being 5’8 and 192 pounds. As a math major, I never thought I had enough time to go to the gym, and I always had the excuse of being too tired, or “having to study too much.” I began to notice my friends were starting to go to the gym, playing pickup games of flag football, basketball, etc. I never would join, because of being self-conscious about my weight, especially not wanting to take my shirt off in front of people. Then I came across Evolve Fitness, a local gym near my school. After my first few weeks of being here, I signed on with my trainer, Jonathan Kreutz, and he showed me workouts to improve my physique, strength and confidence. He has introduced me to strength building exercises such as deadlifts, squats, and bench pressing. My worst trait was definitely the lack of core strength and he showed me more effective ways to strengthen my core.
After 6 weeks of training with Jon, once a week, I have noticed significant changes in my body, including muscles starting to pop out of my skin and the loss of my belly. I had gone to the Bahamas for part of my spring break, and as soon as I got there, with the 85 degree weather and the blazing sun, I had enough confidence to hit the beaches. When I returned to the gym again a few days later, weighing myself, I had noticed I had lost a whopping 17 pounds! Thank you so much Jon for everything that you have taught me, and I look forward to working towards my future goals as well.
