I reluctantly started working out at Evolve after my GI specialist recommended me to do strengthening exercises and lift weights to treat a medical condition. I was positively surprised, after a few weeks working out with their trainer Jenna, that I actually could ENJOY coming to the gym and find it fun to lift weights (which I previously pretty much hated!). Jenna has been a knowledgeable, professional, inspiring and fun guide through my journey to optimal health. With her support, I’ve been able to reconnect to the strength, health and beauty of my body. She has been an awesome trainer and cheerleader who challenges me to believe in my self and push harder in my weakest moments. I’d have never imagined myself doing deadlifts for the first time in my life (in my 40’s) and lifting 140lbs in a matter of a few months! I have been receiving personal training at Evolve Fitness for over a year and a half. My goal was to increase my strength due to mobility issues. I walked with a cane and was 30 pounds heavier than I am now. With my trainer Ash’s help I increased my upper and lower body strength. I avoided knee surgery and exchanged my cane for heels! Also, as my nutrition improved, I lost 8 inches off my waist along with my hips and mobility becoming better. My confidence in my ability to work out was supported by the patience and encouragement of my trainer and the rest of the Evolve staff! Before Joining the gym and working with Boris I always felt tired and had shoulder and knee pain.
Now, thank to Boris and his progressive and challenging workouts I have virtually no problems and feel great- I’m in the best shape in my life!
